ABOUT US
In March of 1946, George A. Spohrer opened Marking Device Mfg. Co. at 19 South Bank St. in Philadelphia, specializing in steel stamp and die engraving.
As business prospered, we relocated to 2708-10 North 5th Street in Philadelphia where George and his wife Doris continued to operate and expand the business.
In 1981, his son-in-law Mike Gallagher joined the company as supervisor.
Our Current Location
In 2003 Mike and his wife Linda took over the business.
Marking Device Mfg. has recently relocated to a modern facility in Fairless Hills, PA. We are close to Philadelphia, with access to major transportation centers and engineering resources.
Today, we continue to pride ourselves on excellent service as we uphold the family tradition of providing skilled workmanship and honest business practices.
